A Full Digital Transformation for a Connecticut Personal Injury Firm

Overview

L.A. LAW LLC, a personal injury law firm serving clients across Connecticut, partnered with me to rebuild their digital presence from the ground up. Over an eight-month period, I led a full transformation across UX/UI design, statewide SEO strategy, content refinement, visual art direction, analytics setup, and ad support.

 

The firm needed more than a website refresh, they needed a scalable digital ecosystem built for growth, authority, and ranking in multiple competitive Connecticut markets. My work enabled L.A.LAW to increase its statewide visibility, strengthen brand trust, and dramatically improve organic performance and conversions.

The Challenge

L.A. LAW approached me at a pivotal moment. Their existing site lacked the structure, clarity, and optimization required to compete with established CT law firms. The main issues included:

 

  • A confusing website structure with no clear user pathways

  • Weak or nonexistent rankings for Connecticut cities

  • An inconsistent visual identity that didn’t reflect credibility

  • Long, dense legal content that wasn’t user-friendly

  • Poor analytics setup, making performance impossible to track

  • No localized SEO strategy to target high-value CT markets

The firm needed a holistic solution that unified design, SEO, content, and analytics into one high-performing system. My goal was to create a digital presence that brought together strategic UX, trustworthy visual design, and highly optimized content built to rank.

My Approach

My approach combined weekly collaboration, user-centered design, a statewide SEO system, and a strong content strategy. Rather than treating the website as a static asset, I treated it as a living digital product that required continuous enhancement.

Collaborative Workflow

I worked closely with L.A. LAW’s internal team every week, reviewing content they provided, refining UX flow, implementing updates, and aligning on priorities. This rhythm created momentum and ensured rapid, measurable progress.

  • Weekly content reviews and UX edits

  • Ongoing enhancements to structure, layout, and mobile usability

  • Joint decision making on CT cities, practice areas, and legal guides

  • Fast-paced iteration cycles to maximize momentum

UX/UI Design

The redesign began by rebuilding the entire digital experience around clarity, trust, and conversion psychology. I crafted a system that made legal information approachable, easy to scan, and visually authoritative.

Narrative Summary​

I introduced a modern, minimal UI that uses Connecticut inspired blues, strong typography, and simplified layouts. Each page was purposefully structured for high readability, mobile-first browsing, and fast access to CTAs. I created repeatable design components, such as CT maps, attorney cards, testimonial sections, FAQ accordions, and multi-step CTAs, that ensured consistency across all pages, including the rapidly expanding SEO library.

SEO Strategy & Execution

The success of the project hinged on building a statewide Connecticut SEO framework rather than isolated pages. I architected a complete SEO system that allowed L.A. LAW to rank in multiple cities simultaneously.

Narrative Summary

I developed a multi-layer SEO structure that included:

 

  • Statewide cluster strategies

  • 35+ localized city service pages

  • High-intent CT Legal Guides

  • Metadata optimization

  • Internal linking maps

  • Schema and technical SEO cleanup

  • Rank Math configuration

  • Crawl optimization and site health improvements

 

This system elevated L.A. LAW from minimal visibility to a strong competitor across Connecticut’s most competitive legal markets.

  • Page-one rankings grew from 3 → 28+ pages statewide

  • Top-three rankings in Hartford, Bridgeport, Danbury, Meriden

Content Editing & UX Writing

L.A. LAW provided the core content, and I transformed it into clear, structured, user-friendly legal information.

​

This involved:

  • Improving flow and readability

  • Strengthening CTA placement

  • Clarifying steps, timelines, and legal terminology

  • Enhancing E-E-A-T signals for trust and authority

  • Restructuring long content into digestible sections

​

All content was rewritten with both SEO and user psychology in mind.

Visual Art Direction

To elevate brand perception, I established a cohesive visual identity with:
 

  • Clean, trustworthy imagery

  • Modern spacing and layout patterns

  • Legal-industry standard typography

  • Consistent iconography and section styling

  • A premium, minimal aesthetic aligned with injury law
     

This strengthened the firm’s credibility and improved engagement.

Analytics & Advertising

I implemented full analytics tracking to measure leads and behavior:

  • Form submission tracking

  • Scroll-depth monitoring

  • Event funnels
     

I also supported search campaigns and retargeting strategies that ultimately lowered CPA by 20–35%, thanks to stronger landing pages and content alignment.

Outcomes

SEO & Ranking Growth

The SEO system significantly improved L.A. LAW’s visibility across Connecticut:

 

  • 35+ new SEO-optimized pages published

  • Rank Math score improved from 65% → 95–98%

  • Page-one rankings grew from 3 pages → 28+ pages statewide

  • Achieved Top 3 rankings for high-intent CT searches:

    • Hartford car accident lawyer

    • Bridgeport car accident lawyer

    • CT motorcycle accident lawyer

    • What to do after a car accident CT

  • Earned map-pack visibility in 6 major CT cities

These improvements helped L.A. LAW compete with larger, more established firms.

Organic Traffic & Engagement

As city pages and guides rolled out, L.A. LAW saw measurable growth:
 

  • Organic impressions increased 60–120%

  • City-page traffic grew 300–600%

  • CTR improved 35% after metadata optimizations

  • Time on page increased from 35–50 seconds → 1:45–2:30 minutes

  • Bounce rates dropped 18–30%​
     

These numbers reflect both SEO gains and the improved user experience.

UX Improvements & Conversion Growth

User behavior significantly improved after redesigning key UX flows:

 

  • CTA engagement increased 22–40% (calls + forms)

  • Mobile usability scores improved → high 90s

  • Consistent UI system created a smoother browsing experience

  • Legal guides saw high completion rates and strong user engagement
